The experience from the first consultation meeting to leaving after my hip replacement surgery was fantastic. The staff where there if you needed anything from a simple question and answer to providing pain relief when required. The surgical team made me feel so relaxed before the operation as my mind was in turmoil but the staff set me at ease and were there when I came to. Since leaving hospital I have been touch with the nursing staff and the consultant, Mr Mahmood, and nothing was too much and I could ask them anything. Looking forward to my follow-up appointments next week.

My husband recently had hip replacement surgery carried out at the Elanic Hospital Glasgow and has not looked back since. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff at the Elanic, with a special thank you to Mr Kevin Bryceland, his Orthopaedic Consultant Surgeon. Mr Bryceland did a wonderful job replacing his hip joint and he’s now totally free of pain! All of the staff were very friendly. From his first phone call with John Ross to enquire about costs etc; Mark who helped with a speedy appointment and Chloe who dealt with post op enquiries, all were helpful and caring throughout his time there. From the first visit, the surgery and follow up appointments the staff couldn’t do enough for him. Thank you all once again. We have no hesitation in recommending the Elanic Hospital Glasgow to anyone thinking of having hip replacement surgery.

Extremely happy with my hip operation at Elanic and 2 weeks in I am walking around the house with no crutches and using only 1 crutch on a flat surface, I had my 2 weeks dressing check and the wound has healed so well I didn’t need another dressing on. From the surgeon Mr. Mahmood to the nursing staff who were all so caring and helpful, thank you, I will definitely recommend.

I recently had knee surgery at Elanic in Glasgow and the whole experience has been extremely positive, I couldn’t recommend them enough. Johnross in the booking team was great at scheduling appointments both quickly and at a convenient time and kept me updated at all points. On the day of surgery Kayleigh and the rest of the team in the hospital couldn’t have been more helpful and reassuring. The facilities were excellent and I was in theatre quickly with no waiting around. I felt really well looked after as I recovered and was discharged the same evening after seeing physio. Mr Nunn carried out my surgery - from the first consultation I felt he really listened to what my goals were and talked me through all my options clearly so I felt I was able to make an informed decision. Post surgery he explained everything that had been carried out and included photos which I found really helpful. I am so glad I made the decision to have my surgery at Elanic and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to someone else. Their pricing was really competitive and the hospital was really easy to get to both by train and car due to the location. I’m still early days in my recovery but things are all going in the right direction and I’m really grateful to the whole team for their exceptional level of care from first point of contact.

When I first went to Elanic, I was worried it was going to be loads of pressure to commit to something straight away. In reality, my surgeon Iain McGraw was more concerned with making sure I understood what was possible, what were the risks, and highlighting that the surgery I wanted was completely optional - nothing was wrong requiring surgery. On the day of my surgery, Iain went through everything that was going to happen, again explaining any risks, and making sure I knew the limitations of surgery. The process went really well, the only time I felt discomfort was from the local anaesthetic. I had total confidence in my surgeon and staff, they kept me informed as the procedure progressed. Following the operation, Elanic has kept in touch, checking up the following day and arranging review appointment in the weeks since. I’m really happy and looking forward to the final result after a bit of healing time

I recently had a hip replacement at Elanic Hospital, Bath Street, Glasgow, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The hospital itself is state-of-the-art, and every staff member I encountered was welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable. Mr. Kakar, my surgeon, was incredibly thorough, honest, and reassuring during my consultation, and I felt completely safe in his care. Communication from the team, especially Ashleigh Jolly, was excellent throughout, and I was kept fully informed at every step. On the day of surgery, the nursing, anaesthetist and physiotherapy teams were fantastic - caring, attentive, and highly skilled. I was amazed to be up and taking steps just two hours after the operation with minimal discomfort. I am truly grateful to Mr. Kakar and the entire Elanic team for their expertise, care, and support. I highly recommend Elanic Hospital to anyone considering surgery - among all the hospitals I considered, Elanic provided excellent value for money, with pricing that was considerably lower than others for the same level of expertise - an exceptional experience in every way.

I had my initial consultation with Mr Andrew MacDonald in November 2024 with a view to having my total knee replacement by Christmas. I hoped that this would permit me to be well on the way to recovery by summer 2025. Unfortunately delays to the completion of the operating theatres and associated support facilities led to numerous postponements at short notice. I finally had my procedure on 7th May and I was discharged the next day. During my visit staff were brilliant. I signed up for a course of Physiotherapy appointments with the Glasgow Premier Physiotherapy clinic in Blytheswood Square and was looked after by John, Steven and Sophia. My recovery has been affected by persistent swelling but this has gradually improved with exercise and further Physiotherapy. I will have no hesitation in signing up with Elanic when my other knee needs replaced!

I recently had a total right hip replacement at Elanic Hospital Bath St. Glasgow . From my initial consultation with Mr Kevin Bryceland . Consultantant Orthopedic surgeon to the operation itself I can honestly say that I never once had any reservations about what was going to take place. Mr Bryceland whom I regard as a consummate professional was at all times friendly , courteous , and importantly listened to my description of my condition and how it was impacting on my mobility. Together we discussed the procedure and absolutely everything that was involved including what in extremely rare cases could go wrong. Mr Bryceland's calm and informative manner was instrumental in my decision to commit to surgery with anticipation and excitement ! On the morning prior to surgery Mr Bryceland once again met me and re iterated what we had previously discussed and left to prepare .whilst Dr Hunter the anaesthesiologist came in and explained her part in the proceedings ,again fully detailing what was about to take place. I was brought to theater and immediately was conscious of a buzz of calm but serious activity all centered on me and it felt good. I was completely relaxed with the various members of the team all going about their tasks and after a bit of crack it was time for the sedation. The operation was completed successfully and Mr Bryceland came to see me post op in my room and said he was pleased with the result and wished me well handing me over to the excellent care of Kayleigh and her team. The aftercare by all of the nurses and support staff was incredible and my every need was catered for with good humour and tea and biscuits aplenty ! Everybody was so friendly and as a customer experience I give it 10 /10. Everything including post op medication and physiotherapy is included in Elanic's package and to anyone considering hip replacement it would be an excellent choice

I recently had a full knee replacement at the clinic and from my initial phone call everyone has been so helpful and professional which made the process very easy and stress free. The surgeon Colin Drury explained the whole procedure thoroughly and he and all the theatre staff made sure I was comfortable and at ease during surgery and the nursing staff looked after me till my discharge. I would recommend Elanic to anyone based on my experience.

I am two weeks out of surgery for a complete new right hip. With never having a major operation in my life I was looking forward to getting it done as I was suffering extreme pain for quite some time and my wait on the NHS was past three years. I arrived at Elanic hospital and was greeted with 5 star hospitality in the form of reception nurses and medical staff who explained how the day was going to go. I was shown to my room and have to mention it resembled a 5 star hotel room and that put me at ease. I was prepped up and into theatre fairly quickly and 1.5 hrs later returned to my room. The staff ,nurses and team couldn’t have been more efficient and covered everything I needed and was taken very good care for the rest of the evening and next morning. I can say confidently the whole experience from making the initial call to being discharged was an experience that I wouldn’t hesitate if had to go through a Major Operation like that again. Well done to Kevin Bryceland and the whole team and praise everyone highly for what could have been a traumatic operation. Thanks to all involved.

I’ve recently just had a ACL reconstruction surgery at Elanic, the waiting time with the NHS at the moment was almost 3 years for the same surgery, Elanic were able to do it within 4 weeks of my first consultation the staff were brilliant with me from the Dr Drury who did my procedure to the staff at the front desk and the nurses that looked after me over night, they couldn’t have been more helpful, very responsive when I have need to check up with them over the phone and so helpful. Would recommend to anyone in need of surgery, they have been a joy to work with.
